Is App VPN free?
Yes. App VPN has a free plan with free server locations, supported by ads. Premium and Premium+ remove ads and unlock more servers, and both start with a 3-day free trial.
Do I need to create an account?
No. App VPN works without registration, email or password. Install it and tap Connect.
Which VPN protocols does App VPN support?
App VPN supports six protocols: OpenVPN, WireGuard, IKEv2, Shadowsocks, Xray and NaiveProxy. Basic servers use OpenVPN, and Premium+ lets you pick the protocol yourself. The Mac app supports WireGuard, IKEv2 and Shadowsocks.
Does App VPN log my online activity?
No. App VPN does not store VPN connection logs and does not log your online activity or any personally identifiable information. It collects a minimum of aggregated, anonymous app usage data such as device type and OS version. The Privacy Policy lists everything that is collected.
Is App VPN safe to use?
Yes. App VPN routes your traffic through an encrypted VPN tunnel and hides your IP address from the sites you visit and the network you are on. It does not log your online activity, and it uses established protocols such as WireGuard, IKEv2 and OpenVPN.
Can I use App VPN for streaming?
Yes. Premium+ includes servers tuned for streaming TV shows and movies. Which catalogues you can watch depends on the streaming service, and each service sets its own rules for VPN use.
How many devices can I use?
Premium+ covers up to 5 devices. App VPN is available for iOS, macOS, Android, Android TV and ChromeOS.
How does the free trial work?
The trial gives you 3 days of full access at no charge. You get a reminder before it ends, and it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel in the store you subscribed with. On iPhone, iPad or Mac, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Why is my VPN connection slow?
VPN speed depends mostly on your own internet connection and how far away the server is. Choose Smart Location or a server close to you, and on Premium+ try switching to WireGuard.
Why can't I connect?
First check that your internet works without the VPN. Then try a different server or a different protocol. On restricted networks use the Recommended server. If it still fails, contact support.
